Creating a Driftwood Effect – Live on How to Paint Like a Pro

How to Paint Like a Pro!

Last week I had the opportunity to go Live on one of Facebook’s fastest growing DIY Furniture Painting Groups showing everyone how to create a driftwood effect! How to Paint Like a Pro group

How to Paint Like a Pro” Facebook group started a little over 6 months ago and has already grown to a whopping 9.5k members! Facebook insiders are keeping an eye on the success of this group and taking note of key factors that could be contributing to its rapid growth. The main focus of the group is that it is a great resource for those wanting to learn and become successful in the art of furniture painting. The group description states in part: “We have brought you a group moderated by top-level professionals from the Furniture Painting and Decorative Art worlds. Use the knowledge and experience of the Owners, Creators and Distributors of some of most established Paint Companies out there. Find out about paint techniques & products. But most importantly learn how to pull your business together as a fully rounded, profitable enterprise.
We bring you advice on everything from social media to buying. Merchandising to motivation. Time management to POS Tools. Everything you need to run a profitable retail level business whilst indulging your own love of painting.”

All posts by group members are required to benefit the group members in some way, adding value to the group as a whole. You’ll find some stunning work by professionals who have been in the business for years, as well as beginners showing us their newly acquired skills which inspire others to give furniture painting a go!

As the group grew in numbers, I was approached by Admins of the group to see if I’d like to assist in the group in an admin role. As such, I have had the privilege of helping others learn and grow in their furniture painting, and was excited to be able to “go Live” with a DIY demo for everyone on the group this week.

I’ve added the video of that live below for you to watch in case you missed it. And if you haven’t joined the How to Paint Like a Pro group yet, and would like to, you can do so HERE.
