Black Furniture Wax is perfect for creating an authentically aged finish on a piece of painted furniture.
50 gram (2 oz) container
This fine museum quality wax is based on an old family recipe. It is made from beeswax with a little carnauba wax and lightly tinted to a rich black colour.
It is easy to apply, provides a durable finish with a beautiful luster and has almost no odor.
HOW TO USE:
Black Furniture Wax may be applied directly over Fusion Mineral Paint or Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk paint.
You can also apply a coat of Miss Mustard Seed’s Furniture Wax (clear) before you apply Black Wax. This will make the Black Wax a little more “workable” and it will be easier to remove the Black Wax in areas where you want less antiquing. Alternatively, you can apply it without the clear wax underneath, and use clear wax as an “eraser” to remove or lighten any areas you feel are too dark.
Use a clean cotton cloth or brush to apply wax in a thin layer, working into recesses of carved details or surface imperfections.
Wipe away excess. Allow it to dry for 3-5 minutes.
Buff to a shine with a clean lint-free cotton cloth.
Clean brush with soap and warm water.
Take a look at this beautiful dresser painted in Fusion’s Chamness and aged with Black Furniture Wax! Stunning.
