I found some Union Jack fabric panels this week, so thought I’d have a go at re-vamping an old coffee table that I picked up at a garage sale.
The legs were nice enough, but the top was laminated, chipped and too far gone to do much with paint to make it look decent.
BEFORE:
Here’s the plan mapped out with drop cloth fabric to frame the flag:

Here it is all sewn together ready to be stapled on:

So lets paint those legs with some chalk paint:

And sand them back a little:


And ready to go with the upholstery:

AFTER:
The finished table along with a cushion made from the other side of the panel, and a larger flag table cloth to match.
