Just a quick post to remind you that Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint colours of the month are:
Tricycle (red)
Artissimo (navy blue)
If you purchase any MMSMP Products from my online store this month, I will send a complimentary sample sachet of one of the colours of the month.
Here’s a piano stool I just made over last week using Artissimo on the base. I only used one coat! I didn’t use bonding agent, so I could get a little distressing and chippiness.
Would you believe I had found this mustard colour pillow case at a 2nd hand store, and used it to cover the top! The colours compliment each other so nicely, don’t you think?
If you remember I just posted about a little table I painted using Tricycle and Ironstone. You can read about that transformation HERE and how I covered up some bleed through that was happening because of the pigment in the stain on the piece.
Here are some other projects I’ve done using Tricycle and Artissimo:
My very first ever Milk Paint project was this Tricycle red cabinet HERE:
A wicker basket with an Artissimo wash:
And another stool with Artissimo base and a ticking fabric covered seat:
And here’s another Tricycle favourite. This bedside table with one of my replica Canning Labels that was from my Great Grandfather’s Cannery. The can labels are great for decoupage or wrapping around a large fruit tin for a pen holder, paint brushes, etc. and are available to purchase on my Etsy store HERE.
So these are a few of the things I’ve painted with these colours … what about you? I’d love to see some of your work. Send me an email at
Happy Painting!
