What’s in Your Furniture “To-do” Stash?

Stock-piling Furniture Anyone?

If you’re like me, you’ll have a hard time saying no to those super deals or freebies you come across when it comes to adding another item to your furniture “To-do” stash!

How many times has someone tagged you in this meme or posted it to your Facebook wall?

I must admit guilty to getting a small stock pile every so often. But then I get strong willed and determined that I will not pick up another piece until I’ve whittled my pile a bit more. Besides, there’s only so much storage space to put these things.

So today I thought I’d give you a look at some of the items I have in the stash so far.

What’s in my furniture stash?

Many of my to-do pieces are actually being used in my workshop. I’m still not sure how I want to paint this one. It’s been sitting around being the most useful “tall thin boy” storing my workshop supplies and brochures. I’m thinking it would make a great styling piece for one of the paint ranges I sell. Each drawer in a different colour – what do you think?

IMG_0045This shelf has also been a useful addition to my workshop, and I had painted it many years ago, so it is due for a touch up, then I’ll probably on-sell it. So it sits in the “to-do” stash.IMG_7986Then there’s this old orange thing that I have sitting in waiting for that moment of inspiration …

A Furniture Haul

Here’s a look at our family car … minus the family … adding the furniture haul from the last weekend!Furniture haul And here’s what was in the back of the car – not sure how it all squeezed in there, but where there’s a will, there’s a way.

  • Couldn’t pass up those shutters at the back – silky oak;
  • a perfectly rustic painted workshop bench top or shelf will make a great sign one day;
  • 2 x stools very weathered, but have potential;
  • Don’t you love that carver chair? I’m thinking of trying paint on the vinyl on that one;
  • more about that amazing half wine barrel below;
  • 3 georgeous picture frames – all rustic and worn, but I love a great aged frame;
  • and a beautiful coffee table that just needs an update.

Here’s what I’ve done with the barrel so far. If you saw my Facebook Live video, I took it out to our backyard for some hemp oil treatment. Here’s that video:
